In this Project, I was assigned to design the UI/HUD system. From this experience I learned how to design the UI to not only accommodate our game but to make it user friendly for multiple demographics. I was Exposed to Unreal game engine for the first time.

ELLE: Endless Learner

ELLE is an endless running game that was a language learning game with a Virtual reality feature. It was featured at HASTAC and won the Senior Design Competition of the Computer Science Department at the University of Central Florida

Sherlock's Riddles

Role-  Designer, Artist and Programer

Software-Unity

Sherlock's Riddles was a biblical archeology project idea brought to the lab by a Judaic Studies professor. When I was brought aboard, the program had it's basic programming foundation in order but It was comprised of basic shapes and colors.

What I did-

  • All of the visual assets

  •  Program the game to detect wrong evidence placement and to restart the game clearing data as a result.

  • Design the game like the player is walking into 221 B Baker street

What I learned-While this isn't my first professional job, This was my first game development job that required constant contact with the client.

Play as Jackie as you light up fellow Jack'o'lanterns while avoiding ghosts

What I learned- This was my very first experience with Unity and it turned out wonderfully. I helped out with the art and programming while writing the game's narrative.

Star Voyage

Lighting up the Sky to find Home

Role- Game / Level Designer

This was a class assignment that was inspired by Qubert.

What I learned- Problem solving . We had to figure out how to make our character move like Qubert.

It's currently installed on every arcade machine at the University of Central Florida

Lanterlot

Role- Programmer

Software-Unity

A game Jam piece that needed only programmers because the art was already created. Like all Jack'd Up, this game was made in less than 48 hours

What I learned-I learned how to research what I don't know and to not only ask questions but to figure the right question to ask so that I didn't waste time.
